If you’ve never tried a B&B before, perhaps because you prefer to breakfast on your own, you owe it to yourself to try the Crosswinds difference!
Crosswinds is a small, family-owned B&B. When you contact us, you are directly in touch with the people who fell in love with this location on Fort Hill and work diligently to preserve its charming character and natural beauty. We love sharing it with travelers who appreciate the difference between staying in a motel and experiencing the unique and special home away from home touches of our Suites.
Our rooms are decorated and stocked to make you feel like you’re visiting family or friends instead of a motel. Because our Studio and Cottage Suites both offer private entrances, bathrooms, outdoor relaxation areas, and the convenience of a kitchenette stocked with breakfast choices, we combine the intimacy of a B&B and the privacy of a motel. We look forward to meeting you and gladly assist you with information and recommendations about the area.
We are licensed by the town of Eastham and our suites are inspected annually by the town Fire Department and Health Inspector, and the water is tested annually.
As of 2013, we became solar-powered with high-efficiency AC and heat!
The close proximity to protected salt marshes are much to the delight of many species of birds, bunnies and other wildlife. Most people find the location and amenities convenient and enjoyable, but if you're looking for a completely quiet experience in the months of July and August, the rooms are quiet, but you'll be aware of road noise outside in the yard during the daytime.
Just a short 3/10 mile walk by the historic Captain Penniman House to the Fort Hill lookout and nature trails, a great place for walking, jogging, photo opportunities, or just a lovely place to sit and reflect. Fort Hill is also a noted spot for avid birders.
One mile from the Cape Cod Bike Trail.
Approximately 3 miles from the Cape Cod Summer Institute Conference Centers.
Approximately 3 miles to First Encounter Beach on Cape Cod Bay or Coast Guard and Nauset Light Beaches on the Atlantic Ocean.
Public boat ramp one street north of Governor Prence Road.
Relax in the spacious sitting areas and use the gas grill for your catch of the day.
OPEN YEAR-ROUND: come see why we love the quiet seasons, too!
